Who is REALMS and what is an EL Education Credentialing Portfolio?
What does it mean to be EL Education Credentialed School?
As a member of the EL Education network of schools since 2002, we at REALMS are committed to the practices and principles that underlie this powerful school model.
Becoming a "Credentialed School" with EL Education requires evidence that a school is both implementing core elements of the EL model with fidelity and achieving corresponding gains across all three dimensions of EL’s expanded definition of student achievement:
Mastery of Knowledge and Skills
High Quality Work
This website captures some of the highlights of our growth as a school and presents evidence that our robust implementation of EL Education's Core Practices has driven notable student growth in all three dimensions of student achievement.
The website is divided into the three dimensions of student achievement, and each section begins with an introduction to our claims, followed by links to the evidence that supports those claims. Organizing our portfolio around three central claims for each "dimension" of student achievement allows us to demonstrate specific ways in which our implementation of specific elements of the EL Education model has driven powerful and measurable student achievement.
